This edition is funded by no institution, because institutional funding is institutional control. It is funded by readers, counted one at a time.

Everything below is what that funding carries: the work now in progress, the volumes not yet public, and the milestones still ahead. A clearance is not the price of admission. It is a share in the excavation.

The register is kept in the open: how many readers stand with the edition, and how far each project has come. When a milestone is reached, the work behind it begins here, in view.
