Provenance
The Preface
Throughout modern times most of humanity believed alien life did not exist.
Oracle Translation Standard
The public narrative of the Heritage-Oannes-Sol-1 archive, was that the crystal archive contained a structured symbolic notation system: a non-phonetic writing method built on base-12 positional logic that encoded biological diagrams, astronomical data, chemical formulae, material science specifications, and institutional records. This was accurate but also incomplete.
On the Archive and This Edition
This section exists because the archive the reader is about to encounter is not the archive as it was made. It has been divided, scattered, classified, redacted, fought over, and, in places, deliberately falsified. If the reader does not understand what happened to the archive between its arrival at Tycho Station and the publication of this edition, they will not be able to assess what they are reading.
